Favorite Drugstore Contour and Highlight Products PART ONE:Cream Contour

Hello Glam Dolls,
Welcome back to another post. This is going to be part one of a few blog posts about contouring and highlighting. I love to contour and highlight. It completely transforms your face and when I have a nice contour going on I feel so much more confident...and glam too.

Today I want to focus on what I use when I cream contour and highlight. I use many of things, but the ones I am going to mention are my go to products. Like I said, there will me many posts discussing this topic.

Something that a lot of people use to cream contour with are the Maybelline New York Fit Me Shine Free Foundation Sticks. I really love the way these look. They give you a very natural contour without being over done. They blend very easily and last for a really long time. I always apply a light coverage foundation on my face before using these, and always make sure to set them with a powder of your choice.

Contour color: 340 Cappuccino

Highlight Color: 110 Porcelain

Keep in mind that when it comes to highlighting and contouring, the colors that best suit me may not be right for you. They have a good range of colors to choose from so just be patient, play around, and find what color looks best on you.

Two other products I really love to use are the Flower Cosmetics Skincognito Stick Foundations. They are highly pigmented and pretty full coverage, so if you want to apply a foundation underneath that is entirely up to you and how dramatic you want your makeup to be. When I want a more glam contour and something more noticeable I use these two products. I also only use very little of the contour color at a time. It is very dark and highly pigmented.

Contour Color: SF8
Highlight Color: SF1

I have fair skin, so unless I am going for a really dramatic contour I tend to stay away from deep contour shades. If you are fair skinned as well, remember if your contour color is too dark it can come off as looking muddy and you do not want that.

When I self tan I only get a few shades darker, so the colors I use on a day to day basis still work on me :)

All of the products I have mentioned are extremely affordable and easy to get your hands on.

Part two to this series will be all about highlighting concealers and highlighting powders.

I hope that you are all having a great Monday and be sure to follow me on twitter and instagram @kategoesglam. I look forward to talking with you all.

xo

    1. Thank you for commenting girl. I want to play around with a few more shades, maybe trying to mix a few different colors to come up with a contour shade. Let me know when you try flower out. I would love to know what you think. xoxo
