Avene Thermal Spring Water

Hello Dolls,
I have really been into taking care of my skin lately. I really do believe that having good skin is the most important thing to being able to get your makeup to look flawless.

One of my favorite things to use is the rose water setting spray that I shared with you all on here. It is so amazing, and I have seen such a change in my skin since I started using it. The fun thing about face sprays, is that most of the time they can be used for different things.

I wanted to talk to you all about the Avene Thermal Spring Water. I have tried this a few times before and I always end up going back to buy more.

You can use this for so many things.

It can be used for:
  • Sunburns
  • After acne treatments
  • Razor burn
  • After hair removal
  • To complete cleansing
  • To set makeup
and that is just to name a few.

It also says that it helps soothe and soften sensitive, hypersensitive, allergic and irritated skin.

If I use this on a regular basis my skin is so smooth and soft. I can tell when I go without it. I wanted to share with you how/when I use this product.

  1. After I am done cleansing my face.
  2. Before I apply my makeup. Make sure you apply this first if you are going to apply a primer. Do not do it the other way around. I have tried it and did not like the result.
  3. Before you blend out your makeup with a blending sponge, spray a bit of this on the sponge. I find it really helps with having your under eye makeup not crease.
  4. To set my makeup.
  5. Whenever I feel like my face is a bit dry, I just spray a bit all over my face and neck.
  6. After I wax.

Thank you so much for reading, and I will talk to you all in my next post. I wanted to add, if you have any post request please let me know in the comments below, on instagram, or on twitter. xo

How To Darken Your Foundation If You Are Self Tanning (Non Patchy Application)

Hello My Dolls,

I am so sorry for my absence the last little bit. I am a pretty private person. I have realized that since I have gotten close with so many of you that I will have to open up a bit more. My Dad is in the hospital right now. I have been focusing on that and spending time with my family.

I apologize for not delivering content, but that will change. I really wanted to get this post up for you all tonight.

I appreciate all of your support so much, and I am so thankful that you enjoy reading what I have to write. I like sharing products with you that everyone can enjoy. I try to keep things as budget friendly as possible, because those are the kind of things that I like learning about. With all of that said, lets get right into our post tonight. I love you all so much!

If you follow me on social media, then you know that I have recently started self tanning again. If you are interested in me doing a self tanning routine post, please let me know. I am more than happy to do that for you.

One of the biggest things you have to think about when self tanning, is changing up the color of your foundation. If you do not feel comfortable choosing a shade yourself, then have someone do it for you. I always test the color out on my chest, and then go by that. I know a lot of people go by the color of their neck, but I blend my foundation down my neck as well when I self tan, so it can be the same color as my chest. That way everything looks even.

Sometimes, if you are very fair skinned like myself, your foundation can get very patchy when you try to darken it to match your tan. I want to share with you my tips and tricks for getting a flawless, even finish.

The first thing I suggest is always make sure you are taking good care of your skin. You want a nice, even base to apply your makeup.

You should always start off with a primer. My favorite primer, is actually not marketed as a primer. It is the best thing I have found, and I honestly do not know what I would do without it. It is the L'Oreal Paris Youth Code Pore Vanisher. This is an amazing primer. It makes your skin so nice and smooth. It also does not leave your face feeling greasy, and it dries in beautifully. I haven't been using anything but this for the longest time.

Another option that I suggest is the Maybelline Master Prime Blur + Illuminate primer. This is my second favorite.

My secret to making my foundation not look patchy when I have to go a few shades darker is to use a BB or CC cream after I apply my primer. Make sure it is in a darker color. It's going to help everything blend out nice and even. This really changed the game for me. The one that I like to use is the Marcelle CC Cream in the color Golden Glow. You can use whatever one you have on hand. Any one will do.

Make sure you apply this to your neck as well, and on your ears. We want everything to look nice and the same color.

The next step is to apply your foundation. I apply it on my face, neck, and ears.

I have three favorite foundations for when I am tan. They are:
  1. M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid in the color NC37
  2. Maybelline Hydrate + Smooth in the color 220 Natural Beige
  3. Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 in the color 957 Golden Tan

After you are done always make sure you use a setting powder. I prefer to use a translucent one. I always use the Ben Nye Neutral Set.

Now we are done! Make sure you use a setting spray just to make sure everything stays put. The L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Spray&Set Makeup Extender Setting Spray is perfection! Keeps everything in place all day.

I hope that this helped you out. Always remember to blend and keep your neck, chest and face the same color, and everything will look great! Do not be afraid to self tan if you are fair skinned ladies and gentlemen, it can be done.

Thank you all so much for reading, and I will talk to you all in my next post xo

Weekly Favorites

Hello My Dolls!

Welcome to my weekly favorites post. I am sitting here tonight having a glass of wine and trying to relax a bit from a really long day. I hope you all had a great Monday. Lets get right into it!

  1. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Cleansing Oil. This is amazing! It makes my skin so clean without stripping it. I will be doing a full review on this, so I won't get into too much detail about it.
  2. Got 2b Guardian Angel Flat Iron Balm. This is the one with the gloss finish. I love this stuff. It is so cheap and it works so well. It makes your hair so nice and smooth.
  3. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Firming Butter. This is suppose to tighten skin after pregnancy and weight loss. I have lost a lot of weight over the past few years and tightening is something I have a problem with. I really like this. The smell alone is great and it is under $10.00. I have seen some results since using this. I have only used it for almost two weeks. I will do a full review on this as well. One thing is for sure it leaves your skin so nice and smooth. I focus using it on my arms and my stomach.
  4. Freeman Mint&Lemon clay mask. This is good for controlling breakouts and oily skin. I only get oily sometimes on my forehead, but I have been having problems with breakouts recently. This works great and does not overly dry out my skin. I use a face cream right after I wash this off to make sure I do not get dry.
  5. Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion. This is for sensitive skin. I call this my go to. If I don't know what else to use, I use this. It never lets me down. I have been reaching for it all of the time lately. I also apply this to my elbows too and it makes them super soft and nice.
  6. Vaseline. I use it for everything! I can't go without it. I have been using this for my feet the most lately. I apply a generous amount before bed and put on socks. In the morning my feet are so smooth and soft. I also apply it to my lashes and brows to condition them and help them grow. It's great as a lip balm too if your lips are really chapped.
  7. Steripod. This is a toothbrush sanitize. I love using these. If you haven't tried one, you really should. I highly recommend them!
  8. L.A Girl Smoky Beauty Brick. When I first bought this, I did not like it. I have been reaching for it all of the time now. I fell in love with it. Such an affordable product too!

I hope you all liked seeing what I have been using! Thank you all so much for reading and I will talk to you all in my next post xo
