Hello Glam Dolls!
How was your weekend? Mine was really
great. Did a bit of shopping and went on a small road trip on
Saturday. One thing I can tell you is that it went by way too fast.
I have just recently repurchased some
of my feminine hygiene products, so I thought that this would be a
great time to get this post up and talk with all of you about it. I
really hope you enjoy this post. I love talking about this topic. It
all has to do with feeling beautiful and good about yourself. I want
us to all feel comfortable with one another talking about things like
this. If we cannot talk bout this with one another, who can we talk
to it about?
To start off, I think that as women we
should all have a feminine hygiene routine of some sort. It is very
important especially where we get our periods every month to stay
fresh and clean. I really do not see the point of taking the time to
do our makeup and hair and then have this part of your beauty regimen
go unkept.
I have a very simple routine. But is is
effective. I use inexpensive products that you can purchase at the
drugstore.
The first thing I want to talk to you
all about is shaving down there. Sometimes I wax, but most of the
time I shave. The shaving cream that causes the least amount of razor
burn and irritation for me is the EOS Shave Cream. I have the 24
hours of deep moisture in Vanilla Bliss. This is a very rich shaving
cream. It has a lotion feel and works really great.
What I use to shave is disposable
razors. I either get the bikini razors, or just the normal full size
ones. I really do not like using the same razor I shave the rest of
my body with to shave down there. I find it unsanitary. With these
you can throw them out after each use. I purchase both of mine at my
local dollar store. Remember when it comes to this sort of thing it
is all personal preference. You can all do what works for you, I am
just sharing with you what works best for me and my routine.
After I shave or wax I always apply
either aloe vera gel or the Johnson's baby oil gel with aloe and
vitamin e down there. It helps prevent razor burn or any kind of
irritation. This is a holey grail product in my routine. It is a life
saver!
Something that I find to be really
important are wipes. I use three different kinds. I use Unscented,
hypoallergenic, alcohol free baby wipes, Always Clean individual
wipes, and the Summer's Eve Simply Sensitive cleansing cloths.
I use baby wipes after I use the
washroom. It's important to keep yourself smelling good.
The always wipes are great for when you
have your period and you are on the go. They are individually
wrapped, so you can just throw them in your purse. They are discrete,
and do not take up a lot of room in your bag.
The Summer's Eve cleansing clothes are
great for when you have your period. They make you feel super fresh
and are really gentle.
When it comes to washing, there are
only two products I ever use. I use the Dove Unscented Beauty Bar or
the Summer's Eve Delicate Cleansing Wash For Sensitive Skin.
There is a lot of controversy around
using feminine washes. I do not use mine every day. I only use it
when I am on my period. I feel really gross and I like to feel nice
and clean, so the Summer's Eve wash really helps with that. I use the
Dove Unscented Beauty Bar the rest of the time.
I have not had any problems with
feminine washes. However, I do not use them everyday.
I use both pads and tampons. I do not
stick with a specific brand. If I am having a heavier flow one months
I will wear pads. If I have a lighter flow, I use tampons. It is just
my personal preference. There is no right or wrong when it comes to
this sort of thing. On the last few days of my period, when it is
barely there, I always use panty liners. It's always important to
have different ones on hand. I always make sure I have the regular
panty liners and the panty liners you can wear with thong panties.
Again, I do not stick with a specific
brand. When it comes to the thong panty liners tho I always use the
Always Thin Thong panty liners. They work great and do not move
around all that much.
I always make sure I have extra
pads, tampons, and panty liners in my purse. You never know when you
might need them. You can get a separate little bag for them. That way if you
have to take them to the washroom it is more discrete, if you care
about that sort or thing.
The last thing I want to talk about
with you lovely ladies about is feminine deodorant spray. It is a
spray that you use down there. I could not get by without this. It
just makes you feel so much better. This is great for when you are on
your period. I use this every morning, when I get out of the shower,
and sometimes touch up throughout the day. I love feeling fresh and
smelling nice and clean.
When I use this I do not hold the
bottle directly pointed on her, I hold it back and give a good spray.
I also like to spray my panties with this, especially if I am on my
period.
If you are not into sprays, you can
also use a feminine powder. I do not keep a powder on hand all the
time now since I found the Summer's Eve Deodorant Spray. The one I
use to buy, and that I really love is the Shower To Shower Morning
Fresh Powder with Lavender. Both are really wonderful products.
Well ladies I hope you all enjoyed this
post. If you have any feminine hygiene products you cannot live
without, please do not be scared to let me know. We're all
girlfriends here. I am always looking for new products to add to my
routine.
If you would like to connect with me on
Twitter or Instagram, I am under kategoesglam on both of my accounts.
I would love to talk with you all!
